Glamour Portraits

I had the opportunity to spend an afternoon with the BEAUTIFUL Miss Emily! Our time together was spent picking out a number of outfits and traveling around downtown Hope Mills, NC to find the perfect locations.

We had a blast finding things to giggle at and locating a variety of ‘unusual backgrounds’. Emily is such a beautiful person and has such a wonderful personality. She really knows how to work the camera!  It was a blessing for me to be able to photograph her and provide her with the images she was looking for.

FUNd Run-4-Life

This past Saturday, Scotland Memorial Hospital held their 8th Annual Scotland Memorial Foundation ‘FUNd Run-4-Life’ to raise money for their Diabetes Education Fund and Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Patient Assistance Fund. There was a phenomenal turnout of over 350 participants with a large range of all ages!

I was blessed to be asked to photograph this race, and I had a BLAST doing it!

I took a VERY large number of images, and therefore they are not all displayed here. Check out the tab assigned to this race for more categorized images.

Holiday Season

As the Holidays approach, many of us tend to get ‘bogged down’ with shopping, planning visits or menus, cleaning the house, and making sure everything on our checklist is getting done. But, the Holidays are a time of year where we should be reflecting on our families, friends and our relationships. This year is a difficult one for me, as I cannot go home to spend time with my family. Thankfully, I had some of my friends as me to be a part of theirs by capturing their families at the holidays. As it has been a warm season in North Carolina this year we had to create our own little ‘Winter Wonderland‘.

One of my favorites

Working at an animal hospital I am blessed to see a lot of animals come in and out, however the animals don’t always have a home. The clinic I work for is nice enough to foster a small amount of animals, until they find a good home. This pretty little lady was one of my favorites. She had such spunk and charisma, and good for me- she liked to pose for the camera! :)

Just getting started…

I use the phrase “just getting started” very loosely, as I have been learning, advancing and trying to create a photography business for about 10 years! I started with a very hands on, but basic, photography course in high school where I learned to make a camera with a shoe box. I then furthered my aspirations/attraction to photography in college by taking some elective ‘how-to’ courses. I have never taken any professional classes and I do not have a degree of any kind in the field, just the attraction to art, and the aspiration to become a photographer. I spent many years taking pictures of myself, friends, family, animals, surrounds, and my favorite – Nature! This was fun, and a learning experience in itself.  However, I have commenced the process of making it ‘official’. I am moving forward in my dream and I hope to take you along with me!  My goal is to do my best to capture ‘the moments that count‘.
